Test - Dynastar Legend XXL 187th

Insert: 27.04.2010
In the past season we had a chance to test this type of BM skis. For part of the test, and some riders were difficult snow conditions. We tested the ski in resorts Sport Gastein, Kitzbühel and Weissee. Each rider spend  on skis minimum two days, and from the resulting images it is clear that  they  didn’t wipe off  skis.

Legend XXL is due to its properties designed for big mountain (downhill big mountains and a long steep rocky slopes). To ride it you need  power  rider who is not afraid of speed and drops. These skis  is not for shredding  forests or even the backcountry tricks, but his clarity and determination you appreciate just in BM. The ski is able to hold you in crisis situations, speed, crashed terrain, drops. It is also because of  wood  mix and composition Rohacell core, titanium plates, vertical sides and extra wide foot skis with a torsion box. Because of specifications listed above, this ski is placed on the top in  leading freeride competition FreerideWorldTour. More on www.dynastar.com

These skis are some of the best skis for big mountain riding. Relatively tough construction makes it ideal ski for expert skiers, who must be careful with transfer  weight to sites at high speeds. Holds great on any surface. As for jumping, it's probably the best skis I've ridden. After the drop it doesn't undulate and keeps track. The rider can therefore concentrate on the next steps  immediately after impact. The only drawback is the radius of the ski, into a smaller curve  the rider really need to push very hard to take specific radius. Again, it depends on rider ability.

It seemed to me really heavy, I almost can not bear it . Ski runs as a tank is calm, in curves doesn’t kicks,  on these length its easy to operate even in the woods I had no problem, time to time I can said it was playful. In heavier snow, when you loos attention have tendency to bite a bit. Get it on the slope to another curve radius was for me almost impossible. Ratings Finally ... skis for tough, but pretty tune and quiet to ride.

Skis Dynastar XXL - great for big mountain skiing. Suitable for experienced skiers! Hard skis with wood core and steel reinforcement, which crosses all and mostly straight down. A large radius makes it ideal for big turns at high speeds, and therefore short turns  in the woods is not in my view advantages  and trick dumping as well. I do not recommend these skis for feast skiers, but for thous who  thing it serious.

Advantages:

specific determination (BigMountain)
stability
drops

Disavantages:
specific determination (only BigMountain)
weight
