Jeseniky mountains 15.1. – 16.1.

When I returned on Monday from Gastein, I was quite surprised how much snow do we have at the garden. The next day I just went to peak Lysa , to see how the snow conditions looks like in the mountains. When I got up, so I knew that in the Beskydy mountains woun’t be any powder skiing. At the top was probably less snow than in the valley, so it was necessary to think of where we go for snow. The Vratna dolina SK was out of snow as well , so we agreed on Jeseníky, which reported full 80 centimeters of powder.

We pack off on Friday morning in crew Michal, Smilak and me(Wiktor). To Karlov we arrived after ten o'clock, so we missed the bus on Ovčárna. Deployed, we put on our ski skins and went to the deep gorge(well known place at Praded) . I guess from Karlov to the gorge is 6 km so we had a nice walk, on the hike up in woods we fought that up will be powder, but in gorge situation was slightly different. Whole day here blazing sun so the snow was even at low temperatures completely wet. Because we arrived quite late we managed to take only one ride. I toke one drop after me Michal, he crashed and hurt hes shin. So we packet up and wend back to Karlov village. We had luxury accommodation in the car, in the parking. After a bottle of gin we try ed Smilak telemark skis and went sleep.

In the morning we woke up earlier to catch the bus at half past eight, Michal wasn’t with us due to injury . To the comes another group from Frydek-Mistek which arrived in the morning, John, Radek, Chip, and my dad. On the Ovcarna is bright clear at and bottom sits clouds. Deploying ski skis and we moved out of the ridge, we had experience from previous day so we choose the opposite side of the hill, where is no sun entire day. These side of the hill is not rocky as on the other hand in gorge. It seems to be less dense forest but more in some places pretty steep and mostly full of pow. Here we took two rides, then our ski skins refuse to stick back on the skis so we go over the ridge into the gorge, we went down back to Karlov. There was waiting nervous Michal. Quickly we packs us in the car and went home. So that was our small trip to Praded Jeseniky mountains .
