Like a lot of you probably know, a Frech ski producer CoreUpt has some financial troubles and most probably will not survive this year. At least if they will not find any investor they will not make it for sure. But this will not force us cancel this review. Skis are awesome and we have got the opportunity to ride them. Our partner snowpanic.cz as a Czech CoreUpt distributor gave us some to try. Slasher are still on stock so you can order them for sure. But lets go for the review first.

Jirka Zelinka:

I have had a chance to test the CoreUpt Slasher at several spots in the Czech republic and Slovakia. When I hold the Slasher in my nahd at the first time I had an impression of a bit clumsy skis. The tip is a bit different from other skis and laso the front rocker seemed to be bigger then necessary. But all those worries disappeared after my first line at those skis.

I was very surprised already during my first run. Skis were dolding the track very well even with the bigger rocker. My first try wasnot in theep pow but it was on the ski slope. The only small thing which dissapointed me was a small instabillity in a higher speed. When the tip started to shake. But this is not ski for a ski slope right? This is for powder lines.

All my concerns regarding the shape of the skis dissappeared immediately after I arrived to Slovakia rsort Vratna. It was a pure powder day and I understood the shape of the tip and the strange loong rocker on the tip. The tip was nicely floating at the top of the snow and I could not make them to dive into powder. Even I was trying a lot. This skis are very easy to ride and manipulate without any special change of your ski style. The reaction time is perfect. The only drwback was the stability again. Higher speed in the couloirs is making the skis shaking a bit and also the droping the cliffs is not perfectly pleasant on those skis. For this I would recommend model Born to Drop.

I would recommend Slasher for those of you who prefer sportive and playful skis. Good for riding the trees and nice smooth powder fields. Also they will not get lost on the ski slope. So hopefully there are still some on the stock. But please read some more word form Petr Lyčka who is a part of Powderline.eu.

Petr Lyčka (Komanč):

What should I say about Slasher? Probably the best skis I have ever had. And I can say they were many. But for my first look thay did not look as s 100% powder surfers. But my fisrt line completely changed my opinion. I have tested the skis in Austria resort Tauplitz in the pure powder heaven conditions. Slasher behave in the powder like you ride on the much wider skis. Even one class wider.

The double rocker makes miracles and the long tip is always flying above the snow. Even in the slower speed. This was surprising that even in slower speed the skis were still managable without any problem. Sooo cool. I did exaclty what I want to do. Nice powder diving.

Well even in the worse condition when we got higher temperatures and the snow got more wet skis were still playful. Maybe it was a bit worse. I cannot say because it was at the end of the day and I was already tired. All my testwas done in the trees so I cannot say how is the ski high speeds and in the couloirs. I think it will be still fine. I have not had any better skis for riding the trees.

Where I was completely amazed was a ski slope. Even on the ice parts of the slope the skis was holding the best possible track and did not move even a centimeter. Very joyfull ride. Radius 20m is perfect at least for ame a 4kg of weigth is enough. I already have some skis at home but for my next choice I will take Slasher for sure. For me is the winner.
