For the next interview I have chosen my close friend, photographer, traveler, snowboarder and great person Lumir Drapal. And because there is nothing in usual style with Lumir, so I had to make this interview in a pub and drank several beers. But I hope that my morning hangover was for a good thing. And here is the promised interview.
Pepa Bernatek in Arosa
Petr Večeřa in Arosa
Zeldy in Beskydy
Walachian gang in Arosa, Swiss

Hi Lumir, lets have a beer for a better talk. Dont you think so?

Hi and Perun with you…

We have not seen your for ages. Where are you and how are you living?

Psstt. I it is top secret. I have chosen a traveling and working proffesion again. I am the mariner. Traveling across the Europe and back. Planing and dreaming. Then I am living of course.

You are planning and dreaming. Could you tell us more about that? Any traveling expedition?

Expedition is such a wide notion. Everybody from us is creating its own life path. Somebody is working for 30 years in one factory, but my steps are going everywhere across the world. So i tis not an expedition for sure. Simply I want to sail with my kayak around a part of Scandinavia. It is about 4000km. I wanted to continue with my project. ( www.drapal.cz ).

Soo you have got a realy daring plans, as I have heard. Will you find any time for riding some powder with friends? Just a bit of punk, you know. Riding, drinking, photoshooting and so on.

Life is like a path, where we are meeting people. Either known people or friends. You never know how much time you will spend with each of them.

So it is definitely big true. Meeting friends is an important part of life, especially considering trips to mountains. Don’t you miss friends on your trips? Do you plan to settle down?

Family and friends, this is the only reason why I am coming back to Valašsko. Settle down, hmmm .... I wanna find a place where I can create, you know..... Time will show.

Regarding photography freeride, so you create especially for the Czechoslovak scene. What do you think, is it missing something?

I think ... From my own experience. I see a lot of "BC" gallery made about 5 meters from the ski slopes. I would like to see a story behind the photo eighter for a photographer and rider. I know that the speed of this age require quantity, but where is our FREERIDING then?

Well buddy freeriding is mainly in the heart, but I guess you got your own opinion . We shred the mountains fo a while. What is your the most favorite photo trips you remember?

It was a trip with Pepa Bernátek to one of the perfect hills in Arosa - Swiss. Feel that you climb that mountain and then put a turn right there is just irreplaceable. I wish to everyone. It's not like working with a compass.Simply NO HIKE NO RIDE. That is what is important to me right now. Last year, we finally stuck our ice axes in mountain of time and climbed up.

What about photo equipment? You prefer Canon I guess? What do you use and why Canon?

Daša EOS 1 Mark II N, EOS Nadežda 3rd Canon 70-200 lens, Canon 50, Sigma 70 macro Sigma, Tokina 19-35, Manfrotto tripod and no flashes. Why Canon? well I was not big deal. Once I got Canon into my hands and from then taking photos. Photography to me is not about the equipmnet but mainly about the photographer himself...

Living in the mountains often takes and gives. What did it give you and take from you?

I found myself and I have found good friends. It did not take anything from me. Moreover, it showed me the right way!

What about conclusion? Thanks so much for the interview. And I hope that this year we create together some values.

Nothing to add. Simply NO HIKE NO RIDE.
