Hi Seth, have you been somewhere on skis during this summer?

Yes I spent 3 weeks in Chile, 2 for catalog shoots and 1 for filming, then 2 weeks in Argentina for filming. Argentina was the best snow. Chile was pretty thin this year unfortunately.

In summer you are riding a bicycle, do you think that skiing and riding bicycle includes similar aspects?

The gravity aspect makes them similar, but skiing is alot softer when it comes to falls. You facing straight down the hill. A major similarity is if you skinning on skis its like riding uphill on a bike.

Skiing go with you all your life… Were you thinking sometimes, that skiing wouldn‘t be your job and you´ll have to do something else? And what would it be?

No I was always looking at skiing as my future. I made alot of sacrifices to be here, but if I hadn't gone this route I would have found some sort of a night job so I could ski during the day.

You are one of the biggest legends of freeskiing, people look up to you… Did you have any idol, which inspirated you in skiing/life? (If yes.. who was it?)

I just look at other successful athletes. People that inspire. Lance Armstrong comes to mind, Travis Pastrana and others that push it.

You jump from huge drops just with skis, but wouldn’t you like to try it with parachute? (Why?/Why not?)

No I have no interest in that, to much can go wrong.

Have you ever been really frightened on skis, that you said to oneself: „This can´t end good.“?

When you get caught in an avalanche. Its pretty hard to gain control, your just going along for the ride whether you like it or not.

When somebody says Seth Morrison, everybody visualize backflip from huge drop. Can you remember, when you jumped your first backflip on skis?

It was at the water ramps in whistler during the first High North Camp in whistler when I was a coach there. I did one the next day after I learned it on the water ramps.

Another thing, which is connected with you is punk… What is the sign of punk in your opinion?

The sign of Punk is not conforming to the regular way of life. Saying fuck it and doing it your way.

You cooperate with K2 for many years. You have your own pro-model – Obsethed. What is the most difficult thing for you in this work?

Waiting for the new ones to get to my house.

) You have another pro-model in Full Tilt. How much time in the year does take you these projects (coorporate with K2, Full Tilt,..)?

I have other pro model products as well, Hestra Gloves, Oakley Goggles and clothing, Black Diamond Pack, Troy Lee Helmet. All these things take up alot of time, they are all spread out during the year. Its a full time job. Right when your done with a particular product your starting in on it again and it goes on all year long.

During your career you were in lot of films, but which one was the best? (why?)

High Society, it was a fun long winter with the best conditions I have ever skied in a season.

MSP made a film about you – The Seth Morrison Chronicls. Did it mean a big change for you? Not everyone can say that someone made film about him… :)

No It didn't do anything for me. It was a best of Seth at the time and a look into my life.

You have some injuries behind you, which one was the worst?

The first time I broke an ankle because it was the first time I missed a whole season. That was pretty hard to deal with, but I learned alot.

And you never thought about ending your ski career because of an injury?

No skiing is all I know and what I love to do.

The most of interview has same questions only in different form… so… Is there any question, which you want answer, but nobody gave you this question?

What do you do for fun?

And your answer?

Hunting when its in season.

Do you want say something to end of this interview?

Yeah ski everyday like its your last.

Thank you for your time!

And also I thank to Adam Clark for photos - www.adamclarkphoto.com !
