The story that captures people with a passion. With a passion for the same sport, but with a different approach to do it. At the same time also shows the reverse face of freeriding and the power of nature. This is mainly about the weather, which was last season in Europe. There was a force of water, which may seem as fluffy snowflakes totally harmless.
Few days we going to travel around the Alps, search powder, sleep in a tent in the Alpine valleys. There a gang of thirteen people will enjoy complete relaxation, freedom and fun.
And the same few days, we will enjoy a ultimate fun in northern Sweden.
You know, you've got Helicopter, in this period of year the night is very short, so you can enjoy long day. Just keep an eye on the weather and then you choose the right line. You can go ride in almost any hour of the day. Hard day you can then spend in front of fireplace with chilled beer in hand.
But this belongs to another guys. I'll try to briefly describe our part. I think it started somewhere in the pub. Probably, because now I can not imagine at all, where else, when we are not skiing, we could meet. And this idea that we could do something more interesting, which could be for us nonstandard. Write then, this is normal, StatusNormal. It should be an expedition, we go into the mountains to sleep right under the hill.Probably something like that it started. It started to be bigger. Of course, as longer as you discuss and as you drink more suddenly the plan is simple and everything could be done. That day was prepared absolutely everything. Next days we took it little bit more serious and we realized that we got nothing. I mean tents, cookers, experience, place, time, how. Good thing is that the team is so homogeneous that no one hesitate over that plan. Heh, not aloud. And so without any problems here is the day of departure. We have a tent - the military one, about 120 kg, cookers, gas bombs, which under certain minus temperatures do not work, petrol generator, food - about 200 kg, homemade sledge, own stuff, sleeping bags, chairs, cables, skis, well, just everything - additional 300 kg.
We already had the place. I think at this point, we have no one who not believe in the plan. At this moment it began to be perfect. And it was. We were on the spot and the journey to the valley. No one knew how far the valley was. So we pitched the base camp in the beginning of the valley. The nearest hill was therefore circa 2-3 hours hiking. Well, it was not big deal. Everyday we had small morning exercise, but I must say that was nice.Hearty breakfast, perfect weather and cool view, as we say. One can not possibly ask for more. The sun slowly sets and in the tent awaits warm dinner or late lunch. Because for dinner, René prepared another specialty. This we had everyday, ladies and gentlemen. And something had to screw up. At first we ran out of fire water, which some cooks do not like and at second big avalanche fell. One of us was under the snow. Brrrr. I do not want to describe it, but eventually it turned out very well. We are in a half of the trip, the mood is bad, Mart is in the hospital and we carry on. A few more nights in a tent and moved a bit further. We went to Solden with Czech guide Karel Kříž. Long lines, snow and nicely rappel into pure powder snow. And now my friends tell me, what do freeriding may be missing? It was nice FEW DAYS with friends. Yeah it's this gang: Igor, René, Fidel, Zemič, Marty, Glory, Bilo, Vojta, wreaths, Szmek, Snio and myself.
