If someone told me that I should go to ride powder to Italy, I might have laughed at him. If someone told me that I should go to ride powder to Italy, I might have laughed at him. Tales of the policemen on the slopes, who control slowly underwear, ban off the marked trails under threat of heavy fines and similar strange behaviour. Anyway, less I got a very tempting offer and snow just convinced me. So after lengthy dealing with my friends, as usual, set off powderline.cz part of our editorial crew at the Bormio resort. Gang composed by Mojmír Pokorny, David Sedlak and Brotherhood Zelinka (George and Tomas).

After a long journey, about 1000 kilometers, we arrived to the residence Elga in ValdiSotto. This has provide to us the travel agency NEV-DAMA. Nice size apartment 1+1, offers charming views of the surrounding mountains, which have an average somewhere around 3000m. So every morning, we woke up really well ...

The first day of the trip we headed to the Bormio, about 3.5 km, full of expectations. We drove through the valley and watching the surrounding peaks, in which rests the morning sun. The resort skipasses we got from a very willing lady delegates and raids on the hill. I must add that in the underground parking garage also has a level of comfort. In fact 2e is realy nice prize.

So we cathed the cabin at the lower station, which is situated in about 1950m. There we took a large tram and this took us to a peek of 3012 meters (Cima Blanca). Already on the way we saw that nobody is riding a freeride in this resort. We are checking the faces right from the cabin and we did not see any track in powder. Which is completely insane for us. Did not wait for anything, we packed up our gear and went to pow. The whole area in which we rode on, is located below the peak M. Vallecetta 3148 meters. So we did a test ride through the valley in which we select lines for the following conventions. Another ride we were checked by the local police. After finding that we have here mandatory avalanche equipment, they wished a safe freeriding to us. All day we were shooting pictures and riding as much as we could.

The second day there was a completely blue sky again. Therefore, we're going to the same place, because we missed a lot of lines there. At the beginning of the day Mojmír decided to humble local M. Vallecetta elevation 3148 meters, and so he went to the top of the strips. We decided a couple of cliffs. The f irst cautiously, then with David hit in the cliff about 10 + m. Snow was not the best and I hurt my leg, which made me for the next day for a total phase out of the game. I have to write here that David in his age, a 16-year, is pushing the freeriding so hard, he is definitely killing it. My brother Tomas is shooting images that really worth it. So we have delivered another productive day packed powder. Super bonus that Monday was the party for free in the center of Bormio. So we enjoyed a party as well.

The third and last day, my foot has not got better and so I have been working here more as a consultatnt and I rode on a slopes. But powderline guys did not give up and made a new lines. Here I must highlight that faces, which ends on the slopes is prohibited to ride on, because of the avalanches which would go directly into the slopes.

The second part of our powderline team has arrived at the last day to change us in the flat. Crew composed of Martin Knybel, Marek Čepica, Lukáš Niemczyk and Sláva as a photographer. So we arranged a skipasses to them a went back home to Czech.
