Freeride competitions

Freeride competitions, the sence itself is contrary to how we can evaluate something that's free? Freeride is about feelings of individuals and then sharing these feelings, we don’t need to compete against each other, as in other sports. I personally in competitions ride for my self , results are secondary. It's probably a necessary condition in this sport, because without competition are not sponsors, not money, the brand don’t produces specialized equipment, sport is not on development not go up in more people. The race is also one of the ways to promote and get sponsors, but it is not the only way. Race is also the place where you encounter with other known freerider and create sometimes friends. In this article I would like to dedicate a system in freeride competitions both in the present system looks.

There are currently at the top of the pyramid system of races FreeerideWOrldTour series, the system is adapted to all other freeride races. FreerideWorldTour system is 4 races on half of the world, is called the Nissan Russian Adventure Swatch - Sochi (Russia), 21 January,, Nissan Freeride de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (France), 30 January, Nissan Tram Face - Squaw Valley USA, 27 February, the Swatch Nissan Xtreme - Verbier (Switzerland) 20 March. This series attracted many people money and skiers. Getting into the main competition is not easy for most riders is unrealistic. In the main competition coming top 12 world riders + 9 from WorldTourQualifier and WC. Races before FreerideWroldTour were just single, but most of them now acted under WorldTourQualifier which means that they are included in the scoring system. In each of the of 12 qualifier races you get points to the central ranking system, in these ranking are added the best three results in the overall standings. Path of beginning freerider is not easy, because without experience and previous results is sometimes not easy to get to these specific FreerideWorldTourQualifier and getting prestige of participation.

In terms of qualifier races you need to choose the less known (with number 2 *) or from the beginning to participate in events that are not FWQ like Redbullpowderkick. These events occur more hooks, fare from FreerideWorldTourQ you get worse the conditions, especially in judging. These lower competition is really weak, so it may happen that when the judge comes to the races with his fried so you can not blame that his friend brings at second place although he roll over little bit. In FreerideWordTour you take seat beside little and is end at the lower races is becoming quite the opposite.

Since the 2009/2010 season qualifier races are divided into two classes of 2 * and 3 *. they have been aggravated by : levels of riders, Prize money, Quality of the mountain venue, organizational level, Communication & promotion level
