This is for the third time when I went to Slovenia to compete but this year the competition is for the first time included in the FWQ series.

On Thursday we set out from CZ in composition of two competitors David and me and two not competitors Zdenda and Libor. After about seven hours of driving, we finally arrived at eight o'clock in the evening to the town called Bovec. With no problems we found Skrip bar, where registration took place. Aftef paying of 80 euro entry fee we set out to look for an accomodation which David arranged. After a while we finally found it so we could left our stuff there and went back to Skrip bar  where BIB selection just started. I have picked up number 28 and David’s number was 58. Well after that we were told to be by the lift at 7 o'clock. Friday was predicted by the best weather of the three days that we spent in Slovenia so were excited that we will go racing the next day and other days we will be riding and exploring the resort.

Friday morning, an unpleasant wake-up buzz at 06:30 and transfer to the lift, where we learnt that the race is postpone due to strong wind. Se we moved to the Italian side of the resort Sella Nevea which is about 30min of driving and where not suppose to be strong wind. The first rides were thru slightly wooded terrain at the bottom of the resort, since the gondola leading to the highest point of the resort was not operated because of mentioned strong wind. Wood here is not so bad, but after a while all untouched powder was ruined, so we move up, where they started the lift thanks to wind which has calmed down finally. Terrains look tempting, but the first ride, we found out that the mountain is total icy and in very poor visibility. Over time, we found that we can go in another way over the spine to another valley which led to another valley, but without the problem there was a chutte which connected us back to the ski slope. This discovery what we have made was at the end of the day which was for sure a shame coz there was a huge of pow. At 8 o’clock was another rider’s meeting where we learn that on Saturday we will not get enought of sleep too because the meeting is at 7 o’clock in morning again. Forecast is not so favorable, but we'll see.

Saturday, unpleasant wake-up buzz again but something more pleasant is that instead of snowing is sunny. At the lift we learnt that the race will start. We jumped on the lift and went up in order to se the competition’s face.  After a deep examination we set out up to where we had to hike. It looked menacing, but turned out that it was only about a thirty minute walk. Racing hill was totally frozen, so we were not planning any massive cliff to drop. I was the third on track where after a few turns I missed my line where I wanted to go and was unable to get to my most important spot of my ride so I went down like a complete fool. At the bottom of the face I watched some racers and waited for David, who has unfortunately at the end of  the ride’s list. Because of that he were unable to go because of the clauds which has came in completly covered the face. After several hours of waiting the race was canceled. We both whole frozen went down and speculating about what would happen next. If the race will finish up on Sunday or will be canceled completly. At the evening meeting we came up with about an hour late, and we could not believe our eyes. Ongoing publication of the winners, even though the race has not beed finished by the rest of the riders. Only the men ski and snowboard men categories were announced. Ski girls did not go at all!

On Sunday  we took a ride at  Sella Nevea where is again blowed fresh in which is blazing sun. And at the afternoon we go went back to CZ.
